apparently spa birthday parties are all the rage for little girls. am i the only one that finds this gross? i know that many girls go through a pretty in pink stage and a lot come out the other side forgetting all about it, at least consciously (maybe i did. i don't know.) but, geez this level of indulgence in superficiality for little girls seems a bit too over the top for me. maybe there could a "right" way to do this? what do you think readers?

Nope...I have 6 yr old fancy pants...know what my favorite word is when it comes to questions like "Can I have a cell phone?" NO! We are doing our future princesses of the world injustice by not teaching them the important points of being a Princess...Treat others kindly, do good deeds, education, education, education and most of all why not set them up with volunteer work before they get their "spa" days? Princess Di never forgot what it meant to be a Princess and neither should our little girls...
i wanna have a spa day for girls!!!
i would be all about it!!!
well said cassie. i could write a paper on this topic...if i were a good writer. but seriously, what are we teaching our future women leaders? not only are parents these days having difficulty setting limits with their children and saying the word "no", but there's no one telling the parents "no" because people are more interested in making money then teaching morals.
